Are you ready to take control of your health
and reclaim the energy you need
to live your fullest life?

Hi.  It’s Chris here.  I want to tell you more about the program I designed just for you; my soul mates who are struggling with pain, fatigue, mental fogginess, lethargy, forgetfulness, impatience, and other symptoms of poor sleep that block you from living the full, energetic days that you want.

Yes, you read that correctly. I can help you achieve get a more refreshing sleep as early as your first night using three simple skills.

Does it sound too good to be true?

You may be thinking, “If only it were that easy….”

From someone who’s been in your shoes, believe me – it can be!

You run your life with integrity and meaning. You are motivated to be the best of yourself for your own sake and for your loved ones. You take responsibility for your health, but you often feel overwhelmed by your roles and responsibilities, not to mention trying to manage your ever-expanding to-do list, and trying to make positive health changes.

You may even feel that you sleep well, and not be aware that your daily symptoms of fatigue would be improved with some small corrections to your sleep patterns.

Do you, my sleepy friend, recognize yourself below?

  • You are SO tired!
  • You struggle to sleep well and often wake up worn out even before you have started your day (you often would love to sneak a nap).
  • You are struggling to maintain a healthy weight.
  • Your pace of life is so frantic that you forfeit sleep time to find more productive hours.
  • You know you need to exercise (you have the gear and the plan), but can’t seem to summon up the energy to get going.
  • Life is throwing you curve balls, causing anxious thoughts to trouble you at night.
  • You have been coping as well as you can with symptoms of pain (joint, muscle, and pain syndromes like fibromyalgia), but it’s getting harder and harder to manage.
  • You are not happy with yourself because you can be irritable, impatient, or angry.
  • You value your health and now, unexpectedly, you are facing a worsening health challenge.
  • You have a snoring or restless bed partner and you are waking up tired.
  • YOU are a snoring or restless bed partner, and you both wake up tired!
  • You are finding your way through menopause.
  • You have a hyperactive child that doesn’t sleep well, and thus neither does the rest of the family.
  • You are feeling sensory overload, and are sensitive to light, colour, smells and textures.
  • You know you have a sleep disorder, but are waiting (a long time perhaps) for a meeting with a sleep specialist.
  • Your judgment seems a little off and you have made some poor decisions recently.
  • You feel confused or forgetful at times and have difficulty concentrating.
  • You are dissatisfied with your sex life.
  • You seem to be catching the flu and colds more frequently.
  • You feel like you should be more productive.
  • You have simply had enough of feeling tired, and you want to make some changes!

I understand.  And I can help.
You are in the right place right now.

About You and Sleep

Sleep is greatly misunderstood and underappreciated.  It is not an expendable luxury, but is absolutely critical to your quality of life.

Prioritizing your relationship with sleep will positively impact all other areas of your life.

Do not dismiss the critical role sleep plays in everything from our mental faculties to our metabolic health.

Sleep dysfunctions do not get easier to correct as time goes by.  It only gets more difficult, so there is no time better to take action than now.

You put energy in the bank when you get a good night’s sleep.  The time is likely just right for you – no matter what other health or life issues you are dealing with.

How long have you been struggling
with insomnia and sleepless nights?

You may have noticed symptoms such as:

  • Low energy and troubling fatigue.
  • Difficulty maintaining a healthy weight in spite of your best diet and exercise changes.
  • Impaired cognitive function causing forgetfulness and lack of clarity.
  • Higher susceptibility to colds and flu.
  • Compromised immune function resulting in slow recovery from illness, or no recovery at all.
  • Increased headaches (especially if you are a migraine sufferer).
  • Quickening of the aging process.
  • Difficulty with concentration, attention, and memory.
  • Slowed reaction time and a higher risk of accidents compromising the safety of yourself and others.

All of these symptoms and more can be alleviated with better management of your sleep practices.

Poor Sleep Impacts All Aspects of Your Life

Are you sabotaging your
enjoyment, success, and spirit?

Even one hour per night less sleep on a consistent basis adds up to a very high cost.

You may even feel that you are coping well, and be unaware that with small improvements in your sleep, you would feel so much better!  Studies show that people with sleep loss perform poorly on concentration and memory tests, but report that they feel no deficits in their thinking.  There are many unrecognized, lasting costs that we pay for sleep loss.

Diet and Exercise

You want to feel better and maybe you have been focused on diet and exercise, with little success.  That’s tough, isn’t it?   It’s difficult to stay committed to an exercise program when your energy is low.  And it is difficult to stay committed to a healthy eating plan when your hormones are in havoc.

Why not address sleep dysfunction first?  Sleep is a foundational pillar of health, and improving your sleep first can help you stay active and eating healthy because you make better eating and exercise decisions when you are feeling rested, strong and clear.

Mental Functioning

Do you feel overwhelmed when faced with decisions?  Do you have trouble concentrating or feel like your thinking is clouded under a fog?

Research shows that sleep loss interferes with learning, perception, alertness, and attention.  A sleep deficit is a performance killer!

If you want to boost your mental functioning and improve your memory (who doesn’t want that?) it can be as simple as improving your sleep.

Anxiety and Stress

Are you feeling worn out and desperate to regain some sense of calmness and peace? Maybe your pace of life is in the frantic zone, and you may, like many others, look to your sleep time as a place to steal a few more hours of productive time.  Forty percent of people say they cut down on their sleep when pressed for time.  They are trying to do more, but cutting out sleep results in achieving much less!

Emotional Repercussions

Illness hurts us physically, but what about the emotional costs?  Excessive sleepiness can alter your mood and wreak havoc on your relationships.

The emotional toll of sleep may include:

  • Irritability
  • Impatience
  • Decreased ability to cope with life’s stresses
  • Greater risk or difficulty coping with depression
  • Conflicts or quarrels with family, friends, and work colleagues
  • Erratic or rapidly fluctuating emotions
  • Decreased emotional intelligence (EQ)

To maintain a calm emotional demeanor, why not focus first on improving one of the easiest lifestyle issues to tackle – your sleep health.  Then, when your emotions are balanced and you are clear-headed, you can bring your best self into your valued relationships.

The Big Picture

A respected sleep journal article says that, “Sleep loss produces temporary changes in cerebral metabolism, cognition, emotion, and behavior consistent with mild prefrontal lobe dysfunction.”

There is a growing field of irrefutable evidence clarifying the impact of sleep deprivation on your overall health, and healthcare providers are becoming more aware of the medical value of sleep.

No matter where you fall today in the continuum of severity of symptoms, the detrimental outcomes of long-term sleep disruption are numerous and can be serious.

The bad news from the current research shows that the consequences for you may be:

  • Your immune function is compromised, making it harder for you to recover from painful symptoms and illness.
  • It’s almost impossible for you to maintain a healthy weight.
  • You are more likely to struggle with depression or anxiety.
  • You are more likely to struggle with low libido.
  • It’s much harder for you to concentrate, learn, or make clear decisions.
  • You are prone to forgetfulness and errors.
  • Slower reaction time resulting in a higher risk of accidents, compromising the safety of yourself and others.
  • You are speeding up your aging.
  • Your risk of mental illness increases.
  • Increased cortisol levels, blood pressure, and insulin resistance may compromise your cardiovascular function.
  • You have an increased risk of your symptoms compounding into a serious illness like Type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, osteoporosis, and cancer.

The down side of doing nothing is glaringly obvious.  Think seriously now about your present symptoms.  If you continue on this way without addressing your sleep problems, what will your life be like in one year?  In 5 years?  Your health is precious.  Please don’t risk it!

Is it clearer now,
the increasing cost you pay
with each night of poor sleep?

Don’t wait until your pain exacerbates,
or your fatigue deepens,
or your emotional state suffers.

Don’t wait until you require a sleep specialist.

Stop the madness,
and end the frustration
NOW

The upside of making a change now is clear too, feeling in control of your health and rededicating your energy to being the best of yourself!

No matter what health improvement you are seeking, improving your sleep will amplify the results of your other healthy choices.

Here’s what you can look forward to.  Improving your sleep will:

  • Give you a consistent energy level throughout the day and evening.
  • Improve your reaction time and concentration.
  • Reduce the number of errors you make.
  • Help you learn faster.
  • Allow you to stay wide awake and alert even while sedentary.
  • Decrease pain.
  • Balance you at a healthy weight.
  • Help you stay calm and patient.
  • Improve your immune health.
  • Relieve the severity and number of headaches.
  • Help you with graceful aging. (Research suggests that a sleep deprived 20 year-old’s brain looks like that of a much older person.)
  • Recover your natural sleep/wake cycle.
  • Give you the vitality to complete anything your heart desires.

The Sleep Well Tonight Method
provides the framework and the insights
to help you transform your health.

If You Had Unlimited Energy Today,
What Would You Do Differently?

  • Maybe you would like more energy to learn a new skill, or challenge yourself with a physical goal.
  • Maybe you want to stop taking sleeping pills that were prescribed for you for a short term, but seem impossible to escape after months or years of reliance.
  • Maybe you can see yourself accomplishing your dreams of a lifetime.
  • Maybe you see your relationships improving around you as you become more balanced, calm and content.
  • Maybe you see yourself strong and fulfilled, empowered by a clear sense of purpose and fulfillment.

Why do you want more energy, more clarity, and a healthy body?

What do you want to accomplish?

What do you need your energy for?

Something important for you is coming to mind, I am sure.

If you want to speed up your enjoyment of life,
we can work together to solve this.

The Sleep Well Tonight Method includes the very same sleep-improving skills and techniques that lifted me out of debilitating Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) after seven and a half years.

I am sincerely concerned for you if you are suffering from insomnia, because I know from experience that it will likely lead to complex health issues in your future.  In my consulting practice, I see this again and again.

I know how it feels to be helpless
in the face of pain and fatigue.

I am a former desperate non-sleeper who was severely ill, and I am now completely healthy and thriving after applying the Sleep Well Tonight Method.

When I say I know how you might be feeling,
I really do.  Here's my story.

I fully recovered from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and Fibromyalgia (FM), and feel so privileged to have had that experience because it has brought me to where I am today.

Back in 1993, I was happy and thriving, and I thought the world was at my fingertips.  I was excited about life, was fit and strong, had just completed a marathon, and was loving life.  I had a healthy lifestyle (I thought), a great job, wonderful daughter, loving relationship, and valued friends.

Here’s what I realize now – I never thought about sleep.  It just wasn’t on my radar, because it wasn’t important in my view.  If I got busy and involved with life and needed more time to squeeze all the fun stuff in, I simply stayed up later or got up earlier.  Solved.

This approach made sense, until…

At age 37, I suddenly (not gradually as it is for some) became very ill with flu-like symptoms, and six months later, had a diagnosis of severe CFS.  Within a year, I also had a diagnosis of FM. I was shocked. Me? Ms. Physical Fitness? (A nickname used by colleagues.)

At the time, and for the next torturous 7.5 years, I suffered with severe symptoms, many like those you may be experiencing.   I despaired, thinking that I might never recover the life I loved, and wondered how I would manage in such a dreary future. I missed my work, my sports, my relationships, my hobbies, and my life!

I was so despondent.  There were moments when I wanted to seriously give up.

My pain was so excruciating that I wanted to scream.  I had to avoid my favourite foods due to severe food allergies, I couldn’t do my favourite activities (dance, ski, run), and I couldn’t even hold a book to read.

My friends, puzzled over the changes they saw, asked themselves, “What happened to the Chris we knew?”  I had been a well-known health professional in cardiac care and rehabilitation.  And I had been a competitive athlete. My status and image had been shattered.

It didn’t make sense to me.  I had never been ill before, and had barely taken as much as an aspirin over my first 38 years. So, I researched everything about my illness.

I tried every therapy, met with every specialist and practitioner, and tried every supplement and medication that might help. I did everything in my power to feel better and to regain some of the life I had lost. I was determined to recover.

But, not only was I not getting better,
I was getting worse.

I struggled with the fatigue, the pain, and my hopelessness. And it’s hard to be open about this part, but I was embarrassed to be sick.  I thought it meant that I was “less than” or that something was deeply wrong with me.  I felt like a failure, letting down my family, loved ones, friends and colleagues.

I felt stuck, trapped, and hopeless.

WHEN would I get better?

What if I DIDN’T get better?

My young daughter needed me to show up every day
and help her feel loved and secure.

I knew that I had to find a way to get better,
and I wasn’t going to give up until I had recovered.

Here’s What Didn’t Work

Looking for solutions, I began with medications that unexpectedly made me feel worse.  Eventually, I shifted away from the traditional medical system, seeking refuge in the complementary therapies of acupuncture, bodywork therapies, homeopathy, naturopathy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and many more.

Although these therapies benefitted me somewhat, they just barely helped me cope, and did not lift me out of my pain and fatigue.

Here’s What Did Work -
Three Simple Things

First

Through haphazard experience, I noticed that when I had abandoned all other therapies except for daily journaling, I didn’t need my allied health team as much.  At that time, I had been relying on a psychologist, and underwent regular massage therapy, chiropractic and bodywork.  Something about my daily reflective writing was making me feel much better.

Second

I started a meditation practice that, over time, helped me become clearer about my habitual thinking and thought patterns.  I began to realize that I was over-focused on disease, and under-focused on health promotion.  That was life-changing!

Third

I focused on being friends with my body, which I thought had betrayed me.  Notice the duality?  Once I began to be on my own team and started nurturing my body with gentle attention instead of criticism, the wise messages of my body pain and fatigue began to penetrate my consciousness.  I used the fabulous Body Scan, developed by Jon Kabatt-Zinn, to help me connect with and appreciate my body.

These were the three powerful habits that
made the difference in improving my health.

Then, intrigued with the gradual improvement I was starting to feel, and being a skilled investigator into evidence-based medical practices and therapies, I began to scour the research on these gentle therapies, eventually leading me to conduct my own research and completing my PhD in Energy Medicine and Integrative Healthcare.

“Her work was exemplary and clearly met the standards of education we set in the United States. I have participated in a number of University programs in the U.S. and consider her work to be among the best I have seen.”

Norm Shealy, MD, PhD, founder of the American Holistic Medical Association, past Clinical Professor of Neurosurgery and Teaching Fellow at several Universities including Harvard.

These Three Simple Techniques Improved My Sleep.

Good Sleep Kick-Started My Healing.

And Then My Recovery Accelerated.

With dedicated daily practice of these gentle therapies, my sleep started to improve.  It was almost imperceptible, but with my heightened awareness of my own behaviours and thoughts, I started to progress towards recovery.  It took about one year.

Can you believe that I recovered from ALL symptoms of CFS/FM within one year?  Slowly, very slowly, I recovered to full health.  Today, I am again thriving and participating in competitive sports and activities that I love.

I credit my full recovery to these three simple techniques.  Through them, I changed my thoughts and I changed my behaviours. I feel so lucky to have found a way to get better.  So many with ME/CFS and FM continue to suffer.

Please don’t struggle
through insomnia
like I did.

I realize now that my illness was a gift of experience that could help others.  It was learning that I can now share with you – these simple sleep techniques – so that you can transform your sleep, boost your energy, and live your life to the fullest!

I Love Helping People Feel Better.

Let Me Be Your Sleep Coach.

My illness experience, coupled with my 35 years as a healthcare professional assisting others with chronic illness, revealed a huge gap in the current paradigm of healthcare.  Our society underestimates the important role that sleep plays in our daily health.  It is now my mission to address the largely unrecognized need for education and management of underlying sleep dysfunction that is present for so many struggling with illness.

I approach health from an integrated, spiritual and complementary care perspective.  My focus is to help you feel well, and also to ease the strain that chronic illness places on our healthcare systems, which are overloaded and misused.  I work to help you bring forth your own strengths and gifts in the healing process, so that you manage your health from a confident place.

How The Sleep Well Tonight Method

What the SWT Method is NOT

  • The program does not include an in-depth discussion of specific illnesses or sleep disorders. Why? In my clinical experience, I have observed that no matter what the cause of your sleep disorder, the three key skills in this program can help you to manage it. I believe in focusing on solutions, not the origin of the problem.
  • The program does not include an in-depth discussion of specific sleep medications and supplements. Why? I want you to focus on your own role in healing, skills that you can learn, and the power that you have at your disposal. You may need to continue with your sleep medications for a period, and your physician can help you make that decision.

Once you have completed your purchase, you will receive details by email outlining everything you need to know about the program.  You will also receive by email your Sleep Well Tonight Personal Workbook.  Closer to the start date of the program, you will receive a reminder email with instructions on how to join the first live coaching call.

Is the value worth my investment?

This is a very personal decision, but I know that I was not aware of the value of my health until I became ill.  Please don’t wait.  When I was desperate to recover from CFS/FM, I was willing to spend my last penny if it would mean I could regain my vitality.  I also became very discouraged when I spent thousands of dollars on supplements and treatments that did not work for me.

Because I know that this method works, I am committed to teaching and sharing it widely at a reasonable price.

I want you to become a skilled self-manager of your health where you don’t need to depend on expensive treatments, supplements, health professionals, or anyone other than yourself.

I know you could spend hundreds of dollars on shoes, clothing, or a shopping trip to the makeup counter.  Compare that to the value of your health, which is priceless.  Unfortunately, we don’t necessarily value our health until it begins to fail.  I see this time and time again in my work with people with cancer and other chronic illnesses.

How much can I really accomplish with you in just 15 days?

A sleep program of only 15 days may seem short, but each day is an element of an intensive sleep overhaul.  Being fully committed over these 15 days allows you to stay focused and purposefully shift your sleep habits and mindset.  Within 15 days you can accomplish more than you realize.  You will notice small differences in your daily thoughts and actions that result in a more refreshing sleep and better energy throughout the day.  These changes will set the foundation for new sleep habits, giving you the confidence to better manage your sleep and get healthy.

For over thirty-five years, Chris has been helping people recover from illness.  She is most well-known for her education in the field of Integrative Cancer Care, where she frequently is asked to speak to audiences from 20 to 750.  Equally recognized is her expertise in spirituality and chronic disease, and her special area of interest, sleep health.  Her most popular work is the Sleep Well Tonight program, which has helped thousands of people.

For all patients, Chris uses the integrative health approach, which combines all the best systems of medicine, practitioners, and practices into a personalized healing plan that considers all aspects of the individual.

When she’s not helping others understand about how important sleep is, she can be found kayaking, playing tennis, ballroom dancing, reading, and writing.

Past Clients

I have proven that I can help people feel better.  Thousands have benefitted from my unique integrative approach to health.  Below is a partial list of organizations that have been privileged to work with.

I want to see you succeed,
and
I want you to help others succeed.

Sleep loss is a serious health issue, and some sleep specialists and safety experts call it a public-health epidemic.  I agree.

If you know anyone struggling with sleep, please forward this page to them. Invite them to participate with you.  Ask them to access their free copy of “The Exhausted Person’s Guide to the Four Fundamentals to Overcome Insomnia and Conquer Fatigue.”

We all need to have more conversations about the value of sleep.  Help me extend this message to the world.  We need to rethink our relationship to sleep, and prioritize it in our lives.  And we need to change our sleep behaviours to align with the importance it has in our lives.

Please share with others how easy it can be to improve their sleep.  Help me make the world a happier, more energetic, healthier and safer place to be.

Even if you don’t purchase this online course, I am so glad we had this conversation together.

Be part of the solution;
help spread the word to your community!
