Electronics and Kids’ Sleep

A study from Edmonton provides more evidence that electronics in the bedroom cause a shorter sleep duration, which is directly linked to obesity in children.  The authors suggest that parents restrict access.  Good advice for adults too!   From Chahal and team, Pediatric Obesity, Sept 2012.  Availability and night-time use of electronic entertainment and communication devices are associated with short sleep duration and obesity among Canadian children.
